What is Early Childhood Education 1A?This semester course prepares individuals for child-related careers. Instruction is given regarding licensing standards involved with childcare, employment skills needed to work with young children, maintaining a healthy environment for children, developmentally appropriate practices (DAP), and curriculum design for young children. On-site lab training will be a part of the course. Previous completion of the Child Development course is REQUIRED. This course will strengthen comprehension of concepts and standards outlined in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education. Student leadership and competitive events (FCCLA) may be integrated into this course.
